At Soma, we see the arts as an expression of our being created in the image of a creative God. As God made a world chock-full of beauty, we believe that human efforts to create beauty can be a way of honoring and worshipping God. Just as we want to see education, commerce, and civic engagement developed and transformed for God’s glory, so we want to see the same thing happen in the creative fields.

Soma is home to professional musicians, photographers, writers, designers, and more.

We’re always looking for ways to help artists connect with one another and deepen their work. here are some current opportunities we have:

Soma Music

Our musicians do more than play on Sundays; they record music and are in the process of writing music as well.

  • We currently have one Soma Music release – “Turn Your Eyes: A Collection of Hymns,” You can listen to it on Spotify.

  • Click here to watch the making of the album!

Visual Arts

We currently try to use our Midtown location as a small gallery space, in which we feature work both by Soma folks and by community artists we love. If you haven’t before, pay attention to our lobby area walls to see the work!

And if you’re interested in displaying your work in our gallery, email Jingo.

If you’re interested in getting involved with Soma artists in any way – performing, meeting up, finding other ways to connect – check with Jingo to find out what might be available!
